On the 17th of April, during our latest Playdate, nearly 30 OSINT enthusiasts stepped into the role of investigators. IT security experts, journalists, law enforcement, and curious minds with different levels of experience came together with one shared goal: to solve an intriguing case by following the digital breadcrumbs.
What stood out the most? The energy in the room. The collaboration. The willingness to share knowledge and learn from each other.
It’s honestly amazing to see how this community keeps growing not just in numbers, but in depth, openness, and passion. Moments like these remind us why we do this. Thank you to everyone of you.
Some really exciting news — and honestly, the best things are the ones you don’t see coming. We’ve got a surprise for our next Playdate… and a small twist in the program.
Thanks to one of our members stepping up: Kevin Gasser from Redguard has created a hands-on CTF where you’ll follow the digital breadcrumbs of a malicious actor through their social media activity. You’ll step into the role of an investigator, connect the dots, and solve the case yourself. Exactly what we love: practical, interactive, and just the right level of challenge.
We’re really looking forward to this one, it’s going to be a great session.
The playdate will be on the 17th of April 2026, it will be for OSINT Switzerland members, CyrenZH students and DSI Community Cybersecurity members and it will be possible to attend in person only.
